>> National Simultaneous Storytime
On Wednesday 22 May, the students at Harkaway Hills College joined over one million students from around Australia to read the story “Alpacas with Maracas” at 11am, as part of National Simultaneous Storytime. It was a wonderful opportunity to share a story together as a school.
>> Coding lessons
Coding lessons are back with thanks to SCOPE-IT. The students have really grown in their confidence and in their application of the skills needed to become creators of technology in the future. We look forward to seeing the end results of their coding projects at the end of this term!
>> Excursion to Healesville Sanctuary
Year 3/4G and Year 2/3/4B had a wonderful excursion to Healesville Sanctuary today. They braved the rain and were able to encounter Australian wildlife up close. What a wonderful way to extend learning beyond the classroom! Thank you to Ianthe Lim, Anthony O’Shea and Antoinette Baird for accompanying the students today.
