Australia Day Working Bee

There was a wonderful turn-out at the College on Australia Day.  With the new classroom wing having only just been completed,  there was a long list of jobs to be completed. Parents and students alike pitched in until all the classroom furniture was in place and the rooms made ready for the new school year.   The large amount of work would have been challenging without the help of so many.  Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and to Charmika and her team for so capably organising a bumper sausage sizzle.

Key Parent Function

The first Key Parent Function of the year was held at the end of the first week of school in the last Friday evening. Mrs Broadsmith gave an outline of the vision and mission of the College and classroom teachers introduced the school year for their classes.

Cocktail Evening

Rain and thunderstorms didn’t dampen spirits as parents met and mingled and celebrated the start of the new year with a cocktail evening following the KPF. It was wonderful to meet new families and for parents to catch up again after the lockdowns of last year.

First Fortnight of Prep

The Preps have begun the year very well and are settling into their new routine. They went to the statue on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes. They made flowers to take to the statue and learnt that ‘flowers’ and ‘feast’ day start with ‘f.’

Years 1-3 Swimming

Year 1 to 3 students attended swimming lessons each day from Tuesday to Friday this week.  They travelled by bus and their instructors report that the skill and confidence in the water have improved each day.

We especially thank Penny E for her help with this programme. Penny not only contacted parents and set up a roster of helpers, but also attended every day.  We are so thankful for this and all her support of our students.
